The past few weeks have been full of changes. We lost our uncle 2 weeks ago. This past weekend my mom lost her aunt on Saturday. The very next day her aunt's daughter, mom's cousin, passed away in her sleep. My poor mom. I fill for her loss. My mom's sister was also diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months ago. Aunt Judy is doing great after her surgery. Mom sold her father's home and closes on it Thursday. Clyde is flying down to Midland tomorrow to drive mom's truck here. Mom will be jumping from house to house for the next few months.
Today I went in for my annual check up. After telling Dr. Finke about Aunt Judy, she has ordered me to have a mammogram. Who would have thought that I would have to have one at the young age of 36??? She said that the rule of thumb is if someone as close as Aunt Judy has breast cancer you order a mammogram. Her rule of thumb is if ANYONE in your family has breast cancer you get a mammogram. If it is normal, than you don't have to have one again until you are 40. SO, here is my advice to my sisters, Michelle, Heather, and Tracy. . . . GO AND GET A MAMMOGRAM NOW!!!!!
I have been doing more embroidery for friends in the ward. I love it! I am off to deliver Sheri's aprons she ordered. After that I think I will order a sandwich and go visit everyone at playgroup.

Happy Easter!
I know it's a little late, but Happy Easter!! Not much excitement happened here. We went to church. We actually got to go together as a family to church. My early Sunday morning meeting was canceled since it was Easter. It also was our last time to meet with the ward that we have now. This Sunday our Stake is redrawing ward boundaries. It will be interesting to see if we stay in the same ward. If we do, will I get to stay the Relief Society President?? Only time will tell.
The girls did color eggs Sunday evening. They were so funny. All the eggs were colored fast and they had said they were done. Next thing I knew they were recoloring the eggs. They said they were having too much fun to be done! I will post pictures later. We used Sarah's camera. I can't seem to find it. It must mean that she has taken it to school AGAIN!!! lol That camera never leaves her side!

Homemade Laundry Soap
Today my friends Robyn and Debi came over and we made laundry soap! I will have to say Eve and Hannah helped grated the soap. It was soooo easy. It now has to set up for 24 hours. Tomorrow I will try the soap out on a load of laundry. Hopefully, it will work. If it does it only cost about 1 penny a load!! I love saving $$ and if I can do that on soap I will love it!! I will post more tomorrow.
WTG Sarah!!!
Back in the fall Sarah was selected to represent her school for the Bobby Bragan Scholarship. Sarah had to write an essay on who she admired most. She wrote it about Dr. Seuss. Sarah has often thought about writing children's books. Her essay was submitted. This week we found out that she was one of the 192 finalist. There were over 35,000 applicants!! Even though she didn't win a college scholarship, she is still happy to know that she made it as far as she did!
At the end of April, Clyde and I get to go with her and attend a special awards ceremony. She will recieve an award for essay! WAY TO GO SARAH!!!

Rebekah's has new ears
Rebekah chose to get her ears pierced for her 7th birthday! She was so excited. She did get very nervous. Once the gun pierced her first ear, she said she was "done." We told her she had to get the other ear done as well. Later that day she said it still hurt, but "It was all worth it!"
What a week this has been!!
The past week has not been the Spring Break I had hoped to have had. This past weekend was full of happiness and saddness. My mom flew in to surprise my little sister, Tracy, at her baby shower. This was the happy part!
My mother's brother, James, passed away this weekend. After a long battle with Parkinson. Mom and I had the opportunity to be with his family has Uncle James passed away. What a spiritual expreience! Who would have thought that death could be so spiritual? As Uncle James was dying, we had a family prayer. I am greatful for prayer and how comforting prayer can been in time of sorrow. My uncle truly was a great man! I only wished I had taken the time to get to know him better.
Mom has gone back to Midland. Where she will finish packing out her house. She moves to the meteroplex next week! Spring Break is almost over. I did get my one major cleaning day done today. The rest of the week we can relax and enjoy not being so rushed with school.
